Spring break!
So, it’s barely Monday night of my Spring Break and already I’ve had a fucking amazing time (I ended up not giving up cussing for Lent, so don’t berate me; even if I had, typing it doesn’t count).
Friday I had no school thanks to my only class that day being canceled. Seriously though, my professor was smart in knowing that no one would be in class that afternoon. Instead, I slept in and had delicious lunch and catching up with Karen (“mujombre“). Afterward we scoped out the new “aquatic complex” (i.e.: expensive-ass resort style pools) on campus; man, I love my school. We played around in the water and got super-relaxed and chill just hanging out in the sun. I just went to bed early that night I was so relaxed.
Saturday I slept in and went to work for the first time in three weeks (boo). After work, all the work people (iFriends, as Mel so eloquently puts it) went out and had probably one of the best nights I’ve ever had. Pat is good luck in finding parking. Brad puked so much it was great. Armando hit on older women. And Sara’s car got locked in to the garage. The best part of it was that I had Magnolia’s Late Night Breakfast Tacos and was in heaven.
Sunday I went to work again to round out the work weekend. Everyone went to a boring training session after our shifts were up. We came back to my place and hung out and were dumb with the Chapelle’s Show Season 2 and Aladdin and thinking there was a guy downstairs having sex in his truck. Really he was just on his cell phone (phone sex?).
Tonight Chris, Byron, Rafi, Mike and Byron’s Abilene friend, Lara came over and we grilled freakin’ yumminess outside; Maggie and Mel met us at the cold ass pool and not-so-hot tub. After freezing our butts off and giving up trying to turn the hot tub on we just went back upstairs and sang along to highlights of “Rent” and “Sister Act 2;” I’ll owe them a hot tub experience before it gets too too hot here in Austin.
Tomorrow I go home for a few days. I always love going home, especially since my chances of going are so rare lately. I haven’t started the work I was supposed to do for school this week, but “that’s okay…that’s okay.” There’s always the day before things are due, eh? No day but today next week.

so what did you end up giving up for Lent?
