A few days ago I applied for a paid summer internship that is pretty much one of my dream jobs. It’s with Apple in Cupertino, CA to work with their iTunes music store team. I’d live in corporate housing and work closely with the team and retail partners to do promos and marketing and some musical journalism and stats analysis for choosing featured music. I really want this gig and would love to have something set in stone already for the summer since I was wondering just what the hell I was going to do.

This would be perfect; I would leave in May, go up there and work for a few months then come back and start my last semester of college. I was going back and forth between going back to San Antonio and getting credit for a non-paid internship I was hired for but couldn’t get credit for two summers ago (ehh) or taking a class and working in Austin again (double-ehh). While those are okay Plan B’s, the Apple job is something I would be super excited about. I find out if I got selected for an interview tomorrow and I’ll be praying hard tonight. I mean, something’s gotta go right sometime, right?
