Best of 2005
All the cool kids are doing one. Here goes.
Movie: Crash
This movie was recommended to me left and right and I’m so glad I took everyone’s advice on it. If you haven’t seen it, you really should. And I’m not gonna lie, Rent was a close second. Like it was first, but I feel bad because it was only out for two months in 2005.
Album: Jason Mraz’s Mr. A-Z
Jason’s songs and albums always seem to define periods for me and this one was no exception: late summer right into fall. Austin City Limits. “Geek In The Pink.” Car rides. “Please Don’t Tell Her.” Love it. Wait, I meant periods of time, not bloody periods.
Song: Ben Lee’s “Catch My Disease”
Surprisingly enough, I got this song off the playlist at work about six months ago. I still cannot get enough of it. It’s one of those songs that never gets old and always makes you happy. Rock on, Ben.
Book: Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince
I started and finished the series in six weeks during one of the most memorable summers ever. If I could pick the entire series I would, but I gotta stick with the ’05 release. You know. OMG, the ending!
Television: “Lost”
Hands down. No contest. Winner, winner, winner. Well, what little I saw of it. This year was the No-TV year.
Website: digg.com
Complete and total geekery abound, Kevin Rose’s brainchild comes to life in the form of an RSS feed in my Firefox toolbar. Oh-em-gee, I can’t live without this. Ever. Actually, RSS feeds period rocked my year. Suchadork.
Month: February
I turned 21. Talk about major life change. Twenty-two is coming up soon. Err.
That’s all for now. It’s late and I have to drive back to Austin early in the morning. Blarg. Here’s to more consumerism in 2006!

Sigh, 2005. “Catch My Disease”, and Summer ’05. How I not love February as well? :0p
ceez. i really, really miss all of ya’ll…
like wo.
