After a week, I am already loving my internship. Sure I have to go around Austin running errands, but I love driving (music plays a large part in this equation) and it’s always to go do interesting things. Today I spent the morning looking for different sized bubble wrap. You think I’m kidding. Oddly enough, it seems like the city of Austin only carries two sizes for your shipping and packing needs. Who knew?!

One thing I’ve learned already though, is that I definitely love the atmosphere and the environment of an agency; I don’t know if I can attribute it to the actual agency environment or if it’s the size (including me, there are five people there). On my off times, it seems like I get a lot of work done on my side projects. I know for a fact that something there is making me focused and gets me motivated (maybe it’s all the damn sugar we consume). If I was at home, I would just sit around and try to find random-ass things to do online. Or I’d sleep.

At any rate, it’s a great internship and even though it’s unpaid, I’m learning lots (especially about running my own firm). Just one semester to go ’til this starts up for real. I can’t wait.

Oh, and I’m starting my Veronica Mars addiction. I need more time to watch things. Have I mentioned I love Netflix?
