Extraordinary things
- I just finished up a huge presentation for my Integrated Communications Management class (yeah, I know) which yet again has reaffirmed my love for my major, even in “boring” classes not related to Creative.
- I got an email earlier saying I was a finalist in the OneShow College Competition, a huge advertising competition that Texas Creative gets to compete in every year. Kind of a big deal.
- The paper that I wrote for my Advertising + Society class I got a B in, despite having to write the huge ass thing during Hell Week, research and all bajillion pages of it.
- I would not give up my creativity, regardless of what I said at Campoot (which by the way, was amazing).
- Here comes Critique, but with that comes the end of school, in two weeks, and I cannot wait for summer.
It’s like my man Aqualung said, “just because it’s the end of the beginning, doesn’t mean it’s the beginning of the end.” This is it. This is when it happens. My spark, my aha. Firestarter, flicking the on switch, pilot light, the crossroads, the beginning, the tipping point, the start, the power button, green light go, 1 2 3 takeoff, bring it on, hold your nose and dive in, just. push. play. This is what I’ve been waiting for.
